To compare, Turkish puts the thing compared against into the ablative and adds daha: bundan daha ucuz. Daha can be dropped when the meaning is clear. For the superlative, put en in front of the adjective: en ucuz.
Examples
- Bu, diğerinden daha ucuz.
- This one is cheaper than the other.
- Hangisi en ucuz?
- Which one is the cheapest?
- Mavi olanı daha çok beğendim.
- I liked the blue one more.
The mistake to avoid
The ablative marks what you compare against: bundan daha ucuz, not "bu daha ucuz".
