For habits and general truths, use the wide tense: add -ir/-ır/-ur/-ür to most stems (or -er/-ar to many one-syllable ones) plus the person ending. It is the tense of "I usually..." rather than "I'm doing it now".

- I get up at seven every morning.
- Ali hafta sonları yüzer.
- Ali swims at weekends.
- Kahve içmem.
- I don't drink coffee.
The mistake to avoid
The "I" negative is irregular: içmem, not içmezim.
