For ago, Italian puts fa after the amount of time: due giorni fa. For last, scorso follows the noun: la settimana scorsa, il mese scorso. These markers normally open the sentence or close it, not sit in the middle of the verb.
Examples
- Il weekend scorso sono andato al mare.
- Last weekend I went to the seaside.
- Ho conosciuto Marco due anni fa.
- I met Marco two years ago.
- L'altro ieri abbiamo visitato il museo.
- The day before yesterday we visited the museum.
The mistake to avoid
Fa comes after the time, never before it: due giorni fa, not "fa due giorni".
Where this fits in
Parlare del passato, Italian A2: Raccontare cosa hai fatto ieri, lo scorso fine settimana e le tue esperienze di vita con il passato prossimo.
