Ci replaces a place or a phrase with a: ci vado domani, ci penso io. Ne replaces one with di, and also a quantity: me ne occupo, ne ho due. Both sit before the verb, and Italian uses them constantly where English would simply leave the words out.
Examples
- Non ti preoccupare, ci penso io.
- Do not worry, I will take care of it.
- Me ne occupo subito.
- I will deal with it right away.
- Soluzioni? Ne abbiamo diverse.
- Solutions? We have several.
The mistake to avoid
Occuparsi takes di, so it becomes occuparsene, never "occuparsici".
