Greek weather verbs stand alone with nobody doing them: βρέχει, χιονίζει, φυσάει. Others use έχει or κάνει: έχει ήλιο, κάνει κρύο. For a real possibility, αν takes the present or the aorist subjunctive.
Examples
- Βρέχει από το πρωί.
- It has been raining since morning.
- Αν βρέξει αύριο, θα μείνουμε σπίτι.
- If it rains tomorrow, we will stay at home.
- Έχει ήλιο, οπότε πάμε στην παραλία.
- It is sunny, so we are going to the beach.
The mistake to avoid
Never add a subject: βρέχει, not "αυτό βρέχει".
