Greek marks a stretch of past time by putting it in the accusative with no preposition at all: το περασμένο Σαββατοκύριακο, την περασμένη εβδομάδα, χθες το βράδυ. The article and the adjective both take the accusative form.
Examples
- Το περασμένο Σαββατοκύριακο πήγα στη θάλασσα.
- Last weekend I went to the sea.
- Την περασμένη εβδομάδα επισκέφτηκα το μουσείο.
- Last week I visited the museum.
- Χθες το βράδυ γύρισα αργά.
- Last night I came back late.
The mistake to avoid
No preposition here: το περασμένο Σαββατοκύριακο, not "στο περασμένο".
Where this fits in
Το παρελθόν και το περασμένο Σαββατοκύριακο, Greek A2: Talk about the past: yesterday, last weekend, and travel memories.
