Adverbs like πάντα, συχνά, μερικές φορές and ποτέ go before the verb. Ποτέ needs a δεν with the verb as well. Counted frequency uses μια φορά, δύο φορές plus the accusative of the time: μια φορά την εβδομάδα.

- Δεν πηγαίνω ποτέ στο γυμναστήριο.
- I never go to the gym.
- Βλεπόμαστε δύο φορές τον μήνα.
- We see each other twice a month.
- Σχεδόν πάντα τρώω πρωινό στο σπίτι.
- I almost always eat breakfast at home.
The mistake to avoid
Two negatives are required: δεν πηγαίνω ποτέ, never just "πηγαίνω ποτέ".
