French builds other negatives on the same frame. Ne... rien is nothing, ne... personne is nobody, ne... plus is not any more, and ne... jamais is never. In the passé composé rien and plus go before the participle, but personne goes after it.

- Ça ne marche plus depuis hier.
- It has not been working since yesterday.
- Je n'ai rien compris à son message.
- I did not understand anything in his message.
- Il n'y a personne au service client.
- There is nobody at customer service.
The mistake to avoid
Do not add pas: je n'ai rien compris, never "je n'ai pas rien compris".
