Diwethaf follows the noun and means last: y penwythnos diwethaf. For ago, the time comes first and yn ôl after it: dau ddiwrnod yn ôl. Days of the week take a soft mutation when they mean on: ddydd Sadwrn.

Yn ôl comes after the time: dau ddiwrnod yn ôl, not the other way round.
