The two commonest verbs have one form each, because Swedish verbs never change for person: har and är, for every subject. Their infinitives are att ha and att vara.
Examples
- Jag har bokat ett bord.
- I've booked a table.
- Har ni bröd?
- Do you have any bread?
- Maten är mycket god.
- The food is very good.
The mistake to avoid
Är is pronounced closer to "eh" than its spelling suggests.
