Weather verbs in Romanian stand alone with nobody doing them: plouă, ninge, se face frig. Sun and wind use este or e: e soare, e vânt. For a real future possibility, dacă is followed by the plain present tense on both sides.
Examples
- Plouă de azi-dimineață.
- It has been raining since this morning.
- Dacă plouă, rămânem acasă.
- If it rains, we will stay at home.
- Astăzi e soare și cald.
- Today it is sunny and warm.
The mistake to avoid
Never give these a subject: plouă, not "el plouă".
