Romanian frequency adverbs - întotdeauna, de obicei, des, uneori, rar, niciodată - normally sit straight after the verb. Niciodată is the exception: it needs nu before the verb as well, because Romanian keeps the double negative.

- Mă trezesc întotdeauna la șapte.
- I always wake up at seven.
- De obicei iau micul dejun acasă.
- I usually have breakfast at home.
- Nu beau niciodată cafea seara.
- I never drink coffee in the evening.
The mistake to avoid
"Beau niciodată" is wrong - niciodată always keeps its nu.
