Catalan uses a for a destination and en for transport: vaig a Girona, hi vaig en tren. De marks where you came from: vinc de Barcelona. Note that a plus el merges into al, and de plus el into del.

- Vam tornar del viatge molt cansats.
- We came back from the trip very tired.
The mistake to avoid
Transport takes en, not amb: en tren, en avió.
