To make a noun plural, add -lar after a word whose last vowel is a, ı, o or u, and -ler after e, i, ö or ü. There is no other plural form and no article to change.

- İki elma aldım.
- I bought two apples.
The mistake to avoid
After a number the noun stays singular: "üç kitap", never "üç kitaplar".
