The locative ending -de/-da also means "on" a day and "at" a time: pazarteside, saat sekizde. After a voiceless consonant it hardens to -te or -ta. Days and months are capitalised in Turkish.
Examples
- Çarşambada dersim var.
- On Wednesday I have a class.
- Nisanda Viyana'ya gidiyorum.
- In April I'm going to Vienna.
- Saat sekizde buluşuyoruz.
- We're meeting at eight o'clock.
The mistake to avoid
One ending covers "in", "on" and "at" - Turkish does not need three prepositions.
Where this fits in
Numbers, days, time, Turkish A1: Count, talk about days and months, give the time, and handle numbers in real situations.
