Swedish reports symptoms with har and a bare noun: jag har feber, jag har huvudvärk, jag har ont i halsen. Being ill in a general way uses är: jag är sjuk, jag är förkyld. Ont i plus the definite body part covers most aches.

The mistake to avoid
Förkyld goes with är, not har: jag är förkyld.
