Most colours are adjectives that agree and follow the noun: rosso, rossa, rossi, rosse; verde and marrone have two forms (verde, verdi). A few never change at all: rosa, blu, viola and beige - una borsa blu, due borse blu.
Examples
- Ho una macchina rossa.
- I have a red car.
- Ha gli occhi verdi.
- She has green eyes.
- Due magliette blu.
- Two blue T-shirts.
The mistake to avoid
"Le borse blue" is wrong: blu, rosa and viola stay the same in every form.
Where this fits in
