Frequency words go after the verb and its subject: téim go minic. For so many times per period, Irish uses uair, dhá uair plus sa: uair sa tseachtain, dhá uair sa mhí. Riamh means ever and needs a negative with it.
Examples
- Ní théim go dtí an giom riamh.
- I never go to the gym.
- Buailimid le chéile dhá uair sa mhí.
- We meet twice a month.
- Ithim bricfeasta sa bhaile beagnach i gcónaí.
- I almost always eat breakfast at home.
The mistake to avoid
Sa causes lenition: sa mhí, not "sa mí".
