Single-word adverbs like immer, oft, manchmal and nie sit right after the conjugated verb: ich gehe nie. Countable phrases use einmal, zweimal plus pro or im: einmal pro Woche, zweimal im Monat. Jeden Tag takes the accusative with no preposition at all.

- Jeden Tag frühstücke ich zu Hause.
- Every day I have breakfast at home.
The mistake to avoid
German uses one negative only: ich gehe nie, never "ich gehe nicht nie".
