There is no separate future form: use the present tense plus a time word (i morgen, næste uge) for scheduled things, skal for plans and arrangements you've committed to, and vil for intentions and predictions.
Examples
- Jeg rejser til Norge i næste måned.
- I'm travelling to Norway next month.
- Vi skal holde møde på fredag.
- We're having a meeting on Friday.
- Hun vil gerne bo i udlandet engang.
- She'd like to live abroad someday.
- Ferien begynder snart.
- The holiday starts soon.
The mistake to avoid
Reaching for skal/vil in every future sentence - a plain present tense with a time word is usually the natural choice.
Where this fits in
Planer, drømme og betingelser, Danish B1: Talk about the future, express wishes, and use conditionals.
