Danish verbs never change for person, so the pronoun carries all the information about who is doing what - which makes it impossible to drop. Each has a separate object form: jeg/mig, du/dig, han/ham, hun/hende, vi/os, I/jer, de/dem.
Examples
- Jeg hedder Anna, og hun hedder Mette.
- My name is Anna, and hers is Mette.
- Kan du hjælpe mig?
- Can you help me?
- Vi kender dem godt.
- We know them well.
The mistake to avoid
Capital I is the plural "you"; lower-case i is the preposition "in".
