Imperfective verbs build the future with буду, будешь, будет… plus the infinitive, describing an ongoing or repeated action. Perfective verbs have no present tense at all, so their present-looking endings already mean the future and stress a single completed result.

- Tomorrow I will be working all day.
- Завтра я закончу проект.
- Tomorrow I will finish the project.
- Мы будем жить в Петербурге.
- We will be living in Petersburg.
- Я обязательно тебе позвоню.
- I will definitely call you.
The mistake to avoid
Saying "я буду позвонить" — буду never combines with a perfective infinitive; use the perfective's own endings instead.
