To tell someone to do something, take the infinitive and drop the final -e: svinge becomes 'sving', fortsette becomes 'fortsett'. Verbs that have no -e to drop, like 'gå', stay exactly as they are. There is no pronoun - you do not say 'du'.
Examples
- Sving til høyre i hjørnet.
- Turn right at the corner.
- Gå rett frem to gater.
- Go straight ahead for two streets.
- Fortsett til stasjonen, og ta bussen.
- Continue to the station, and take the bus.
The mistake to avoid
Leaving the -e on ('svinge til høyre'), which sounds like an infinitive, not a command.
