Norwegian has no future tense. You use 'skal' or 'vil' plus the plain infinitive with no 'å'. 'Skal' is for what you have decided or arranged, and 'vil' is for what you want or what you predict. The present tense with a time word also works for scheduled things.
Examples
- Jeg skal reise til Bergen i morgen.
- I'm going to travel to Bergen tomorrow.
- Jeg vil gjerne studere i utlandet.
- I'd like to study abroad.
- Neste uke begynner jeg på et nytt kurs.
- Next week I'm starting a new course.
The mistake to avoid
Inserting 'å' after the modal ('jeg skal å reise') - skal and vil always take the bare infinitive.
