Greek needs no change of word order for a question - only intonation. What does change is the punctuation: a Greek question mark is a SEMICOLON-shaped ; at the end. Question words are ποιος, τι, πού, πότε, πώς and γιατί.
Examples
- Μιλάς αγγλικά;
- Do you speak English?
- Πώς σε λένε;
- What is your name?
- Πού μένεις;
- Where do you live?
The mistake to avoid
The question mark is ; not ? - and πού with an accent is "where", while που without one means "that".
Where this fits in
Greetings & introductions, Greek A1: Say hello, give your name, ask someone else's, and where they're from.
