An adjective matches its noun in gender, number and case, and most follow the -ος, -η, -ο pattern: καλός καφές, καλή μέρα, καλό κρασί. The adjective goes before the noun, as in English.
Examples
- Είναι πολύ καλός καφές.
- It's a very good coffee.
- Το ψωμί είναι φρέσκο.
- The bread is fresh.
- Μια κρύα μπίρα, παρακαλώ.
- A cold beer, please.
The mistake to avoid
The adjective moves with the case as well as the gender, so it changes when the noun becomes an object.
