Es gibt means both "there is" and "there are" and never changes for a plural. What follows is the object, in the accusative, so a masculine ein becomes einen: es gibt einen Garten. The negative uses kein: es gibt keinen Balkon.
Examples
- Im Zimmer gibt es ein Bett und einen Tisch.
- In the room there's a bed and a table.
- In der Küche gibt es vier Stühle.
- There are four chairs in the kitchen.
- Gibt es hier einen Balkon?
- Is there a balcony here?
The mistake to avoid
"Es gibt ein Tisch" is wrong: der Tisch is the object here, so it is es gibt einen Tisch.
