An adjective standing after a linking verb never changes: ik ben moe, zij is blij. An adjective before a noun almost always adds -e. The one exception is a het-word with een or no article: een moe kind, but het moede kind.
Examples
- Vandaag ben ik moe.
- Today I am tired.
- Zij is een blij mens.
- She is a happy person.
- Wij zijn blij met het nieuwe huis.
- We are happy with the new house.
The mistake to avoid
After zijn there is never an ending: ik ben moe, not "ik ben moee".
