To ask about a whole life, Danish uses har plus nogensinde plus the participle. The answer for never is aldrig, and like other adverbs it sits after the conjugated verb: jeg har aldrig smagt. The participle stays at the end.
Examples
- Har du nogensinde været i Norge?
- Have you ever been to Norway?
- Jeg har aldrig smagt rugbrød.
- I have never tasted rye bread.
- Vi har besøgt det museum før.
- We have visited that museum before.
The mistake to avoid
Aldrig comes before the participle: har aldrig smagt, not "har smagt aldrig".
Where this fits in
Talking about the past, Danish A2: Tell stories about yesterday, last weekend, and life experiences using datid (simple past).
