-(으)ㄹ까요? asks the other person what they think ("영화 볼까요?"), while -(으)ㅂ시다 states the plan more firmly ("내일 시작합시다"). Between friends, -자 does the same job casually: 같이 가자.
Examples
- 토요일에 영화 볼까요?
- Shall we see a film on Saturday?
- 내일 시작합시다.
- Let's start tomorrow.
- 일 끝나고 커피 한잔 어때요?
- How about a coffee after work?
The mistake to avoid
-(으)ㅂ시다 is not used to a senior person: to a boss or a teacher, use -(으)ㄹ까요? or 어떠세요? instead.
