To pick the most out of a set, Korean names the set with 중에서 and then uses 제일 or 가장 before the adjective: 이 중에서 제일 싼 거. 어느 것 and 어떤 ask which one, and 것 shortens to 거 in speech.
Examples
- 이 중에서 어느 것이 제일 싸요?
- Which of these is the cheapest?
- 저는 파란색이 제일 마음에 들어요.
- I like the blue one best.
- 어떤 색깔이 있어요?
- What colours do you have?
The mistake to avoid
어느 picks from a known set; 어떤 asks what kind.
