Korean puts the description before the noun and marks the verb with a modifier ending. For a verb: -는 for now, -(으)ㄴ for the past, -(으)ㄹ for the future. For an adjective, -(으)ㄴ. So 어제 본 영화 means the film I saw yesterday.
Examples
- 어제 본 영화가 재미있었어요.
- The film I saw yesterday was interesting.
- 제가 좋아하는 가수예요.
- This is the singer I like.
- 읽을 책이 많아요.
- I have a lot of books to read.
The mistake to avoid
The description always comes before the noun, never after it.
Where this fits in
좋아하는 것, Korean A2: Talk about hobbies, likes and dislikes, and free-time plans.
