For a real possibility, Spanish puts the present tense on both sides: si plus present, then present or ir a plus infinitive for the plan. Weather verbs themselves take no subject at all - llueve, nieva, and hace sol or hace frío with hacer.
Examples
- Si llueve, nos quedamos en casa.
- If it rains, we will stay at home.
- Hace sol, así que vamos a la playa.
- It is sunny, so we are going to the beach.
- Si nieva mañana, no voy a conducir.
- If it snows tomorrow, I am not going to drive.
The mistake to avoid
Never put the future after si: si llueve, not "si lloverá".
Where this fits in
Planes y citas, Spanish A2: Proponer un plan, quedar con alguien, cambiar o cancelar una cita, y hablar del tiempo que decide los planes.
