CEFR B1 · Intermediate
B1 Korean is where you stop translating and start explaining. You choose between -아서/어서 and -(으)니까 depending on whether you are stating a cause or urging someone to act, hedge an opinion with -(으)ㄴ/는 것 같아요 instead of asserting it flatly, and talk about plans and hypotheticals with -(으)면 and -(으)ㄹ 거예요. The 존댓말 register becomes a choice you make deliberately rather than a form you copy, and the vocabulary moves into work and study - colleagues, commuting, deadlines, city life and social questions you can now hold a real opinion about.
