Greek has no infinitive like "to change", so after verbs such as θέλω, μπορώ, πρέπει, προσπαθώ you use να plus a fully conjugated verb that agrees with the same person. The να-verb takes the one-off form for a single act and the present form for something ongoing.

- Θέλω να αλλάξω τον τρόπο που ζω.
- I want to change the way I live.
- Πρέπει να σκεφτούμε τι πραγματικά μας αξίζει.
- We have to think about what really matters to us.
- Προσπαθώ να καταλαβαίνω τους άλλους καλύτερα.
- I try to understand others better.
The mistake to avoid
Leaving the second verb in the -ω form — it must match the person: "θέλουμε να πάμε", not "θέλουμε να πάω".
